Mock Family Reunion

Friday, June 25 through Sunday, June 27 2010 Temecula, California

Hi! I sent an e-mail blast out to the family on March 30 but found out this weekend that most of you probably didn't get it. I resent the last e-mail to single addresses hoping it get thru to you. If you received it twice, I apologize. I just wanted to make sure you had an opportunity to attend this year's reunion. Please send a reply to let me know you've received the e-mail so I can stop worrying that part of it. Then you can decide if you're going to join us or not. Thanks!

Erin Greetings! Here is some more information about the 2010 Mock Family Reunion.  The dates are Friday, June 25 thru Sunday, June 27.  RSVP: I'll need a head count on who will be attending by May 1 so we can start planning food. I also need to know if you will be staying at a hotel or camping with us. I can ask for additional campsites but I need to know in advance if they are for RV or tent sites.

Getting there: Nearest airport is Ontario ; it's about 50 miles away. Temecula is located about 90 miles southeast of Los Angeles, off Interstate 15. Directions to the campground can be found on the attached "Camping" document. Lodging/Camping: I have attached information about hotels in the Temecula Valley area. They are about 15 minutes from the campground where we will be "headquartered." I haven't made any arrangements with any one hotel but they all appear to accept AARP, AAA, and some have government/military rates. Make your reservations on your own.

I've also included information about the campground. The campground has designated me as the Wagonmaster so I will make your camping reservations for you.  I just need to know if you will be in an RV/trailer or a tent. I also need to know if you will have an extra vehicle; they have a fee for the extra parking space.

Pets/Other: The campground charges a $1.00 fee per pet per day. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times (you also have the clean up duty). They have a strict policy about no pit bulls.

Activities: I haven't heard from anyone about golf so I have not made any reservations to play. There is a catch and release pond at the campground but the more serious angler can fish at nearby Lake Skinner . You'll need permits to fish at the pond which can be purchased at the campground store when you arrive. You'll need licenses to fish at the lake; let me know if you are interested and I'll find out how they can be obtained. The campground can provide an afternoon hayride; arrangements must be made in advance. There are plenty of other things to do in the area: At the campground: swimming, horseshoes, cards, dominoes In town: antique shops, museums, farmer's market, winery tours, herboretum. Temecula will also be holding its Summerfest while we are there. A street art festival will be going on the weekend we are in town. Anyone can make reservations to draw pictures with pastels on Main Street . A grand prize is awarded Sunday afternoon.

Please call at (714) 533-1449 or e-mail us at wstchamp@pacbell.net with your infomation. George and I are looking forward to seeing you all soon!
